We wanted this special boy to have a very meaningful name... My favorite brother Zach (don't tell Kyle or Ashton) has the middle name Lucas. We asked our birth mom to give him a middle name and she chose Ryan because it is her Mother's maiden name. We LOVE it because it's two families coming together in the most miraculous way.
Lucas was delivered by emergency C-section on Wednesday January 7th at 12:14pm. Weighing in at 7lbs 12oz and 20 1'2 in. We were lucky enough to be able to watch the surgery. He has some respiratory issues right now, but is expected to be fine after a few more days in the NICU. Here is a pic of him after he graduated from his oxygen space hat to a nasal cannula.
He loves his binkie and I thought it was too cute that he was holding it in with his finger!
This is what he did when I took the binkie away:) Sorry the pics aren't too original, but we have not been able to hold him, feed him, or change his diaper - So... more pics to come as Lucas gets better!
We are exhausted emotionally and physically, but soooooo grateful! It has been an amazing experience that we will never forget. We loved him from the instant we saw him and can't wait to bring him back home to Phoenix to meet all of you!

My friend Linda Bennett, told someone, who told you (or something like that). She sent me your blog today so I could see picts. Lucas is soooooooo cute. I actually think the birth mom looks a lot like you! I am so happy for you. I just cried looking at the picts. I am so happy to have been a helper in the whole process. Our little Daxton is 6 months now and we finalize/get sealed in two weeks. We can't wait. I have picts of him on my hair blog if you want a lookie!
Congrats again and again!!!! I know I was supposed to post about him so you would find him. Isn't it so amazing how HF uses us to help each other? We only found Dax because a friend told us about him too! What sweet blessings!

Hi, Congrats! This is kind of odd...Let me explain. Linda, from Heart to Heart called me a few months ago about a little boy being born in January. She asked if I knew anyone who was interested so I posted the “situation”on my blog. My Good friend Mindy, who also commented here, saw it on my blog and decided to spread the work on her blog. In the end...You found your son! I am so excited for you. Adoption is an amazing thing. Our daughter is now 10 months...:) Again Congrats!

Hooray! I love him. Look how sweet he is. Those pictures remind me of Samantha in the NICU. She loved her soothie paci so much too. Oh, I am so happy for you two. Give him lots of squeezes and kisses from me. Sweet tears of joy are all around. My parents adopted 2 of my brothers and 1 sister. They were just meant to be in our family.
